![]() In the old 2018 version you could click on any part and get the percentage, now you just get three question marks until you remove the part then once you've removed it you can see the repair level. Thanks for taking the time to give me some tips but I actually did all that and did the examine parts area while standing under the vehicle and clicked on each parts area until the fractional part eg 12/12 was equal to 1. It's true that some parts can only be inspected by removing them though - I find that fair and realistic. Very quick way to inspect, and although you're not told the exact percentage (unless you go look in the parts status list for the car) you at least get a color grading. Well, you still can manually inspect a lot of parts, and what's more, if you point the magnifying glass at a particular area (engine, front suspension, etc.) click and hold the mouse button down it will reveal the status of all the examinable parts in that area, one after the other. Originally posted by Issac Brock: I think that most things in this game are an improvement over 2018 but I miss where you could manually inspect any individual part to see what it's repair level was. I replace every rod cap and every cam cap to be safe and replaced all the piston rings for the same reason. The repair threshold was 58 per cent and I replaced or repaired everything 58 per cent or lower. ![]() I stripped the engine completely down and inspected the suspension while under the car. I ran every diagnostic except the shake rattle and roll and the test track because the car will not start. I have every tool and did a visual inspection of the engine. Process of elimination - rule out everything that is easiest to rule out first, before starting to tear the car apart., And if you have diagnosed or inspected all those parts whose condition can be determined through the diagnostic tools or inspection, then at least you know the problem is one of the remaining parts (those whose condition you'll only discover by removing them from the car). Use the various diagnostic tools, if you have unlocked them (including the test path and test drive), otherwise use the magnifying glass icon to inspect the suspension parts. YOU're the mechanic, it's up to you to figure out what the problem really is. The front suspension components are in the same area, so it is quite reasonable for them to describe the sound as "coming from the engine bay". all they know is there is a sound that seems to come from the engine bay (to them). ![]() Originally posted by dogwalker1:A customer brings you a car, they are not a mechanic, just the owner and driver.
